At the end of 2011, Alaina joined the program support staff at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI) on a part-time basis for a short-term assignment. The original project went well and the next one did too and before anyone realized it, Alaina had been assisting with administrative tasks, revamping procedures, and updating work-flows as the Temporary Program Assistant for over a year.
